Business Law develops an understanding of the principles of the Common Law system and how it affects their business life. It develops an understanding and practical application of the principles and concepts of the justice system within the business community. Business ethics addresses the entire scope of responsibilities and obligations that a company has to its stakeholders like clients, employees, shareholders, suppliers and the community. It is a form of applied ethics where it inculcates a sense within a company‘s employees to conduct business responsibly. This course will help students learn various concepts which most organizations refer to as integrity, business practices or responsible business conduct. Business law and ethics courses highlight essential concepts for students entering the business world.
This course examines the formulation, interpretation, and application of law to business. It incorporates the study of ethical issues in contemporary business settings, including professional conduct and corporate social responsibility. This course covers major areas of legal regulation to which businesses are subject, including tort liability, contract law, partnership and corporate law, employment and labour law, intellectual property law, environmental regulation and sustainability, and financial regulation. Emphasis is placed on the active, experiential application of legal reasoning and analysis and the global and comparative dimensions of legal and ethical issues.
This course mainly focuses on the fundamental concepts, principles, and rules of law applied to business. It includes contract law, consumer law, property law, employment law, family law, business law, and corporate law.
